Highly Customized
– Concrete pools are the only style to be completely customized. There is no “Standard” pool when it comes to concrete, depths, widths, lengths and shape. Design of the pool becomes a key roll in the project to create the pool of your dreams both is ascetics and function. Tanning ledges, benches, beach entries, swim outs, and stairs can be designed with ease to any size and shape you want.
Pet Friendly
– Many pets love to swim too! If your pet loves to swim, make sure they are not going to cause expensive repairs down the road. Pets claws can easily tear a Vinyl liner swimming pool, both fiberglass and concrete are excellent choices to avoid costly repairs.
Natural Surface
– There is no comparison to the finish of a concrete pool. The interior finish is comprised of a cementitious product thus giving it that natural appearance. This also will give the water a different color appearance based on the light conditions more then any other style pool.
Our Process
Initial Consultation- First step of the process is to discuss your wants and needs for your backyard project. This can be as simple as the pool itself or the entire backyard including the landscaping, hardscaping, fencing and structures. From this meeting the scope of your project is determined. Once the scope is established the proper documentation needs to be reviewed including the plat, topographical, septic surveys or if available the site plan for the project. Homeowners association bylaws will need to be reviewed (if applicable).
Design Consultation- After all the proper documents are secured we can go into the design phase of the project. From here we design a rendering of the project for visual and quotation. This stage can be involved as you need us to be, some project will already have landscape design plans to follow for the pool. Others will want a full design plan created for the entire backyard. Due to the volume of requests for drawings we will quote the project with basic pricing. Moving into a complete design plan will require a down payment or a design retainer.
Permit Submission- We will generate CAD style plans off of the renderings to submit for permits. We will put together a packet of all the needed documentation to submit to the village or county and provide HOA the same documents for submission to the association.
Pool Layout- Before excavation the pool will be painted out for review.
Excavation- The pool will be excavated and spoils will be moved off or on site depending on the project. The framing will be constructed as the excavation is a few steps ahead.
Plumbing- Once the excavation is complete and the pool is framed the plumbing can be installed. Lights will also be ran in this stage.
Steel Cage- The steel rebar will be constructed per specification of the project. Our standard is 10″ on center of #4 rebar tied with 16awg wire. Benches, steps, and swim outs get reinforced for strength. Bond will be installed once cage is complete and ready for inspections.
Shotcrete process- Shell will be sprayed and shaped to specification.
Waterproofing/Waterline tile- Pool shell will be sprayed with a waterproofing agent and waterline tile will be installed around the perimeter for the pool
Coping and patio- The pool coping will be placed and patio work can begin.
Interior finish- Last step of the process is to install the interior pool finish or plaster. This coating based on color will give the pool its final smooth finish and water color when filled.
Final walk though- Instructions will be given in the operation of your new swimming pool.
